Custom Temporary Tooth
After dental implant surgery, a temporary tooth (also known as a temporary restoration) is placed on top of the implant site to allow the patient to leave with a fixed tooth on the day of the implant procedure. In the past, a one-size-fits-all option was used, however, dental professionals now offer customized temporary restorations. This means the temporary tooth is hand-tailored to a patient’s specifications, resulting in a more natural feel and function. Customization also allows a patient to make a more informed decision about the size, shape and feel of the final restoration(s), while simultaneously enjoying a preview of their new smile.
